Kogod Ranked #58 In New Bloomberg Rankings
In Bloomberg Businessweek’s 2015 ranking of full-time MBA programs, American University’s Kogod School of Business came in ranked as the #58 full-time MBA program in the country.
In past years, the rankings were compiled by considering a number of categories that measure strength of education as well as which programs best prepare MBA candidates for their future careers. Members of Kogod Faculty Testify in Front of Congress
According to a press release on the school website, two faculty members from the Kogod School of Business recently testified before Congress in the US House Committee on Small Business and the US Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship.
Don Williamson, executive director of the Kogod Tax Policy Center, and Caroline Bruckner, executive-in-residence and managing director of the Center, stood before the nation’s lawmakers to discuss tax policy changes that would simplify the overly complex tax burden on small businesses. Alumni Profile: Rohan Shah, Kogod MBA ’09
Rohan Shah, an alum from American University’s Kogod School of Business, gained great interest in green energy and sustainability while earning his MBA. Through his studies and experiences he deduced that it’s not possible to have a growing economy without growing resources.

Kogod’s Second Professional MBA Cohort Takes the Classroom to Brazil
Prospective MBAs in the Kogod School of Business Professional MBA cohort spent a portion of their 27-month program make connections outside of the DC metro. After months of planning and preparing, the cohort, the second in the program’s history, departed for one of South America’s most emerging markets, Brazil, for an eight-day international stay.

Annual Kogod Case Competition Takes a Look at Uber
The 23rd Annual Kogod School of Business Case Competition tasked more than 150 participating students with developing a strategy to continue to grow upon the recent success of ridesharing company Uber in Washington, D.C. over the next five years. Proposed ideas ranged from instituting customer rewards systems to branching into new customer bases.
