Carey Students Participate in New Real Estate Challenge Competition
Students at the Carey Business School students are taking part in a year-long real estate portfolio competition. According to a press release on the Carey website, The Real Confidence University Portfolio challenge began in July and challenged teams from Carey and 14 other business schools to compose and submit a real estate portfolio using $1 billion in simulated capital. The winning team will earn a $50,000 university scholarship.

Carey MBA Alum Named to Forbes 30 Under 30
Jarrett Bauer, an alumni of the Carey Business School, has been named to the “Forbes 30 Under 30” in the area of healthcare entrepreneurship. Bauer, who was part of Carey’s charter Global MBA class of 2012, is a co-founder of Health Recovery Solutions, a firm that works with hospitals to help patients with high risk of readmission avoid return visits. Loyola MBAs Found Company That Distributes German Cosmetics
BAM BrandsUSA is a U.S. cosmetics distribution company founded by Christian Dean, alumnus of the Loyola University Maryland’s Sellinger School of Business. Dean’s company, which he runs with fellow Sellinger classmates and co-partners Kevin Malone and Lisa Hanes and two additional business partners, now markets and distributes two German makeup brands.
Dean first had thoughts of starting his own company while studying at Sellinger in 2013, especially after realizing how useful of a resource the school’s faculty could be to him. Continue reading…
