Zicklin Programs Ranked by US News
The Zicklin School of Business has been ranked among the 100 best graduate schools of business schools by U.S. News & World Report. The Full-Time MBA program was ranked no. 77, the part-time program was ranked no. 58. The Health Care Management program at Baruch was also ranked by US news at no. 29. Overall, Baruch was ranked no. 5 among the best business programs in New York State. The rankings were released in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2016 Best Graduate School Rankings.
U.S. News ranks professional school programs in business, education, engineering, law and medicine. The rankings are based on two types of data: expert opinions about program excellence and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school’s faculty, research and students. The data come from surveys sent out to administrators from more than 1,350 programs and more than 13,500 academics and professionals, conducted during the fall of 2014 and early 2015.
Zicklin Professor Offers Tips for Choosing a Tax Preparer
Associate Professor of Tax Law at the Zicklin School of Business Steven Melnik offers helpful advice to those who are looking for a tax preparer during this year’s tax season. His tips include advice on how to choose a preparer and what to look for in a professional. Professor Melnik notes that it is important to choose a tax preparer wisely for your tax return filing because in the end, you are responsible for what is reported.
“The biggest mistake that people make when searching for a tax preparer is that people will go to whoever will get them the biggest refund,” said Melnik. “People don’t do their due-dilligence and don’t do the research.”
Zicklin Hosts MBA Campus Tour
The Zicklin Graduate School of Business will be hosting a campus tour for prospective MBA students. The campus tour will be held March 9 from noon to 12:30 p.m. During the event, those interested in attending Zicklin to complete the MBA degree can take a campus tour with a current Zicklin MBA student. Prospective students will also have the opportunity to learn more about the graduate student experience while seeing the campus and facilities. Zicklin offers a Full-Time MBA, Flexible MBA and Healthcare MBA programs.
The Full-Time MBA is built around a cohort of students admitted in the fall. The program is designed to be completed in four semesters, or 22 months. It is optimal for those who have the drive and commitment to change careers, whether moving from one industry to a completely new one, or moving into a new functional area within an industry.
Zicklin Holds Info Session for Exec Programs
The Zicklin School of Business is offering an Open House Information Session to learn more about the Executive MBA and the Executive MS in Finance programs. During the information session, prospective students will have the opportunity to learn more about the program, speak with alumni and academic directors.

Zicklin Holds Open House
The Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College will hold an open house for prospective MBA students. The event will be held on November 5, 2014 at the Newman Conference Center Information and Technology Building. The event will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.
This is Zicklin’s most comprehensive on campus event for prospective students. It will offer opportunities for attendants to interact with key administrators and faculty. There will be a discussion on the academic programs and the admissions process for the Zicklin School of Business. The school offers both full-time and flexible MBA programs as well as the Baruch Healthcare MBA.
Baruch Ranked Among Top Schools for Older Students
Baruch College has been ranked no. 33 among the “Top Schools for Older Students” by BestColleges.com. It has been listed with a 26 percent application rate of Undergraduate Students Ages 25 and Older, a 25 percent admission rate and a 63 percent graduation rate.
Baruch College was also recognized for its School of Continuing and Professional Studies (CAPS), which attracts many nontraditional students.
