LMU Holds Beta Gamma Sigma Induction Ceremony
The College of Business Administration at Loyola Marymount University held its annual Beta Gamma Sigma induction ceremony. The ceremony was held on March 22. Beta Gamma Sigma is the honor society for member schools of AACSB. Graduate students need to be in the top 20 percent of their class to be inducted into the society.
Out of the 49 students inducted into the 2015 class of Beta Gamma Sigma, five of those were MBA students and three were Executive MBA students at LMU. Two LMU professors, LMU Finance Professor Don DePamphilis and organizational design and development expert Patricia Palleschi, were also recognize with honorary faculty memberships to BGS at the ceremony.
La Salle Honor Society Receives Gold Chapter Award
La Salle University’s business honor society Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) has been named the 2014 Gold Chapter Award recipient in its Outstanding Chapter program. The Gold Chapter Award is the highest recognition a collegiate chapter can earn.
In ten of the past 11 years, La Salle’s chapter has been named one of the top five chapters in the world. This year marks the third Gold Chapter Award for the University, having previously won in 2004 and 2011. La Salle was selected from more than 500 collegiate chapters worldwide for being the most successful and involved chapter.
San Fran State Students Inducted to Beta Gamma Sigma
San Francisco State University’s College of Business honored 54 top students at the annual Beta Gamma Sigma, Mu Chapter, induction ceremony held May 23, 2014.
During the ceremony, 13 MBA students and two Executive MBA students were sworn in to the Beta Gamma Sigma, Mu chapter, and presented with the Beta Gamma Sigma honor cord and membership certificate by Dean Linda Oubré, Associate Dean Kathleen O’Donnell and other department faculty members.
