Foster Consulting and Business Development Center Celebrates 20 Years, 100,000 Jobs
The Consulting and Business Development Center at the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business celebrated its 20th anniversary in December. The celebration drew more than 650 people and a record $90,000 was donated to build the center’s program endowments. Launched in 1995 with the mission of accelerating student careers and growing businesses in under-served communities, the Consulting and Business Development Center has helped to create more than 100,000 jobs since its inception. San Diego Ranked as Top 10 City for Job Growth in 2015
San Diego, California was ranked as one of the top 10 cities for job growth in 2015, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The ten cities on the list have experienced the strongest non-agricultural job growth over the first three quarters of 2015. Overall, projections from the study show that the U.S. could add as many as three million jobs this year—a 2.2% monthly average job growth. San Diego tied for eighth place with Denver and Portland with a 3.1% job growth for 2015. San Diego’s growth beat out overall California growth, which was up just 3.0% for the year. Continue reading…
