Poets & Quants Names UCLA Student to “Best MBA” List

Meet Jacob Call, 34—an MBA student at the UCLA Anderson School of Management and former US Navy Seal. Call decided to go to business school after the death of his closest friends in combat. Now he has gone from being part of one of the military’s most elite units to the top of the Anderson MBA class.

London Business School Students Gain Experience in Hong Kong

Ninety-three MBA students from the London Business School recently returned from participating in a Global Business Experience (GBE) in Hong Kong, an opportunity that allowed these students to hone their skills through real-world business experiences in a rapidly developing part of the world. The GBE is considered to be an important part of the MBA program at the London Business School, both by the faculty and the student body. The school commits to taking all second-year MBA students, about 410 this year, on a GBE to developing and emerging regions so they may see how business theory works when applied to real-world situations. George Mason Earns AACSB Accreditation Once Again

George Mason’s School of Business has once again maintained its business and accounting accreditations by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), according to a press release on the school’s website. AACSB Accreditation is highest form of accreditation for a school’s business program—Less than five percent of the world’s business programs have been recognized with this level of accreditation.  Continue reading…

Business Schools Focus on Sustainable Business

Business schools all over the country have embraced the trend of green business. Universities and their students are working towards creating sustainable business practices and created an environment that will positively impact the world. In celebration of Earth Day, several business schools held events to create awareness and interest in these new business practices.

Earth Day is not the only time that business schools work toward creating innovative green business, more schools offer MBA programs in sustainable business than ever before. Babson College’s F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business offers more than a dozen classes on sustainability. The school also has several sustainable programs on campus. In 2010, the University began working with higher-education-focused energy company to assist in creating the first Sustainability Office on campus.

GWSB Receives Accolades for International Business and MBA Programs

U.S. News and World Report’s 2016 Best Graduate Programs ranks The George Washington University School of Business among the best in the nation for its International Business program and #15 for its MBA program is their rankings that were released on March 10, 2015.

According to the GWSB website, the university’s location in the heart of the nation’s capital, minutes from the World Bank and International Monetary Fund, “offers distinctive advantages for both students who wish to gain practical experience and faculty who wish to perform academic research that has global implications.” Continue reading…
