Rutgers Offers CPA Review Program
The Rutgers School of Business–Camden is offering current students and recent graduates a CPA Review Program. The program will be offered on the Rutgers–Camden campus to assist students in preparing for the CPA Exam. This program is designed for students who wish to sit for the CPA exam within the next 12 months.
Four modules will be offered between September 2014 and April 2015. Students may enroll in ONE or more modules.
La Salle Holds Ceremony for New SOB
La Salle University held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new School of Business on Sept. 16, 2014. The ceremony was held on the building site at the intersection of Chew Avenue, Wister Street, and Penn Boulevard, off of Olney Avenue in Northwest Philadelphia.
Last November, the University announced that it planned to construct a six-story, state-of-the-art facility to house its School of Business. The new building has been designed to include amenities and spaces that facilitate the collaborative learning, networking, and teamwork necessary in today’s business world.
Cranfield Lecturer Leads Study
Cranfield School of Management lecturer Dr. Jutta Tibias led a controlled trial to investigate the impact of mindfulness training on cognitive reasoning. The controlled trial was conducted on students from Cranfield’s graduate programs.
Dr Jutta Tobias is an invited member of a Parliamentary inquiry launched by the Mindfulness All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG), with specific responsibility to co-author policy recommendations on workplace mindfulness. The group will submit a report to Parliament next spring.
Stillman Offers Class for Non-Biz Students
Seton Hall University will be offering a new entrepreneurship undergraduate course for students studying in Arts and Sciences, Education, Nursing or Diplomacy. All students enrolled in these majors are eligible to enroll this fall.
The three-credit general elective course, BMGT 2110 Exploring Entrepreneurship is open to all non-business school undergraduates at the University. BMGT 2110 is offered through the Stillman School of Business, and is taught by Associate Management Professor Dr. Elizabeth McCrea. The course is designed specifically for non-business students. There are no prerequisite courses required to enroll in this course.
The Forté Women’s MBA Conference Returns to Anderson
The Forté Women’s MBA Conference returned to the UCLA Anderson campus on Friday June 20, 2014. The conference is put on by the Forté Foundation, a nonprofit consortium of leading companies and top business schools working together to launch women into careers through access to business education, opportunities and a network of their peers.
