Suffolk Holds Women’s Career Lab Conference
The Center for Innovation and Change Leadership at Suffolk University and the CIO Executive Council will co-host a Women’s Career Lab Conference this October. The event will also be sponsored by the Sawyer Business School. The conference, titled “Refine Your Power: Live, Work, Play on Your Terms” will bring together female business leaders for an all day conference highlighting strategies for reaching work-life-family balance. More than 100 women, from a variety of leadership levels and organizations are expected to attend the conference
Suffolk Professor of Management and Center for Innovation and Change Leadership Associate Director, Jodi Detjen will facilitate the conference with her co-author Kelly Watson. The two published the book The Orange Line: A Woman’s Guide to Integrating Career, Family and Life. The event will be held on October 15, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Suffolk campus in Boston. Conference discussions will examine the ways in which women have moved past career limiting assumptions in relation to family and career integration.
Suffolk Presents Global Leadership in Innovation and Collaboration Award
Suffolk University- Sawyer Business School’s Center for Innovation and Change Leadership has presented its annual Global Leadership in Innovation and Collaboration (GLIC) Award to Nypro, a global leader in plastic manufacturing for the healthcare, packaging and electronics industries. The company creates products ranging from cell phone parts to insulin devices and contact lenses. The company hanldes all aspects of the production, including design and development, mold making, decoration, assembly, manufacturing and supply chain management.
The annual Global Leadership in Innovation and Collaboration Award was developed by the Center for Innovation and Change Leadership (CICL) to recognize an organization that fosters and inspires innovation and collaboration. The award is just one of several CICL initiatives to integrate best practices of innovation and collaboration within the research, teaching and service missions of CICL and The Sawyer Business School.
