Columbia Holds EMBA Information Session
The Columbia Business School will be hosting an information session for its Executive MBA program. The information session will be held Feb. 7 at the Columbia campus. The event will begin at 10:30 a.m. and last until noon. During the event, prospective students will have the opportunity to speak with admissions officers and current students and alumni about the Columbia Business School and the Executive MBA program.
The Executive MBA program at Columbia is designed for working executive professionals. Classes for the program are held in a biweekly Friday and Saturday schedule or a weekly Saturday option. Each of the programs is identical to the Full-Time MBA program, with the only difference being in the scheduling options.
Columbia Early Admission Deadline Jan. 12
The early admission deadline for the Saturday Executive MBA program at Columbia Business School is Jan. 12. This early deadline is for the May 2015 entry for the EMBA program. The early decision option for admission is ideal for prospective students who have decided that Columbia Business School is the school that they would like to attend.
Applications submitted by the early decision deadline are reviewed before the regular decision applications. Candidates who apply for early decision and are offered admission to the program have up to two weeks to submit their nonrefundable $6,000 deposit for tuition.
Columbia Announces New Assistant Dean
Zelon Crawford has been selected to serve as Columbia Business School’s new Assistant Dean and Dean of Students for the Full-Time MBA Program. She will take her position January 5, 2015.
Crawford brings more than 15 years of experience in top business schools and companies to Columbia. Some of these schools and companies include NYU Stern, American Express, and Accenture. She most recently served as director of graduate business programs and recruitment for Villanova School of Business.

Columbia Awards Botwinick Prize in Biz Ethics
Columbia Business School has awarded the 2014 Botwinick Prize in Business Ethics to David Stern, the commissioner emeritus of the National Basketball Association.
The Botwinick prize is given to a business leader who has displayed exceptional professional and ethical conduct. The prize is organized by the Sanford C. Bernstein & Co. Center for Leadership and Ethics, the umbrella for leadership and ethics research and activities at Columbia Business School.
Columbia Offers New Exec. Ed. Program
The Columbia Business School is offering a brand new Executive Education program. “Brand Leadership: Strategy, Management, and Performance,” will first be offered Nov. 3-5, 2014. It will be held at the Columbia University campus in New York.
Brand Leadership: Strategy, Management, and Performance will teach students how to build a strong brand identity, a superior brand experience, and lasting brand loyalty. Participants will be able to differentiate your brand from the competition, sustain its differentiation and competitive advantage and maximize its impact and profitability.
