Meet DePaul’s New Economics Chair, Anthony Krautmann

Anthony Krautmann has been teaching economics at DePaul for over thirty years, but now has a new role at the Kellstadt School of Business — Department of Economics chair. In addition to teaching, the sports economics and microeconomics expert will be responsible for leading the department and for promoting teaching excellence, research and service.

Kellstadt’s Sandra Shelton Named KPMG Neil F. Casson Endowed Professor

According to a story appearing on the school website, faculty from DePaul University and members of the KPMG Foundation recently honored Kellstadt Graduate School of Business Professor Sandra Shelton as the newly named KPMG Neil F. Casson Endowed Professor. KPMG is a professional service company and one of the Big Four auditors, along with Deloitte, EY and PwC. Kellstadt Entrepreneurship Program Ranked #15 In Nation

According to an article on DePaul University’s website, the Princeton Review ranked The DePaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business’ entrepreneurship program as #15 in the nation. This is five spots higher than last year.

“We offer students a unique combination of classroom and real-world experiences,” DePaul Coleman Entrepreneurship Chair Harold Welsch (BUS ’66, MBA ’68), founder and director of the entrepreneurship program at DePaul said in a statement in the article. “We teach students the theoretical principles involved in entrepreneurship, but we also make sure students get out into the community to learn how entrepreneurship works.” Continue reading…

Business School Faculty and Staff Honored at DePaul Convocation

A recent article by Robin Florzak highlights the achievements of eight DePaul University staff members who were recognized at the university’s Academic Convocation ceremony for their teaching, public service and dedication to business students.

“It is a noble calling that we undertake in higher education,” DePaul Provost Marten denBoer said to kick off the convocation. “Many students come here seeking a pathway to a job, but we give them much more than that.
