Judge Business School Signs Memorandum with Chinese Private Equity Firm
The University of Cambridge and China Science & Merchants Capital Management have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote academic links and collaboration between the two institutions over the next three years.
The collaboration was launched at the Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Conference (GIEE) in Shaoshan, China, on 27 September. At the University of Cambridge, the collaboration will be overseen by Hanadi Jabado, Director of Accelerate Cambridge at Cambridge Judge Business School; and Dr. Jo Mills, Deputy Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (CfEL) at Cambridge Judge.

Lubin Announces Winner of Biz Plan Comp.

50ROOTS.com is an e-commerce site dedicated to selling Made in the USA products. Its mission is to support the American Made Movement by connecting socially and environmentally responsible consumers with high quality, homegrown, innovative, made in America products.
Saïd Seed Fund Invests in Online Education Provider
A publisher of online video tutorials for schools receives a £25k investment from Saïd Business School’s Seed Fund. The funding recipient is Massolit, an educational publisher providing online courses serving Arts and Humanities students.
Massolit produces high quality videos to be used by students both at home and in school, and at present has 50 courses online to choose from. The firm sells site licenses in schools both in the UK and internationally, with nearly 90 schools trialling the product at the moment. The venture will be receiving £25,000 from the SBS Seed Fund.
“The Saïd Business School Seed Fund is delighted to be supporting Massolit as they innovate in the education space both in the UK and worldwide,” said Mo Bazazi of the Seed Fund team, adding “We were impressed with the quality of the product, and the unique positioning of Massolit as a teaching aid in modern classrooms.”

Social Media Week London comes to Cass
Cass Business School is running two master classes as part of its Social Media Week (#SMWCass) from September 22-26.
Industry experts from the Square Mile and Tech City will give advice to entrepreneurs on how they can use social media to drive business growth.
