F.W. Olin Students Given Opportunity for School Investments
F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business Students have a special opportunity to be involved in the financial investments at Babson College. The Babson College Fund (BCF) is an academic program in which specially selected students from both the Undergraduate and Graduate schools. These selected students manage a portion of the Babson College endowment. The program builds students’ investment research and portfolio management skills and offers practical experience.
The investment style of the Babson College Fund (BCF) is to aggressively apply conservative investment principles. The students conduct intensive fundamental and quantitative research to identify stocks that are good values at their current market prices. Selected stocks are then over weighted within a diversified portfolio. Managers monitor the fund’s overall risk and the sources of risk, aiming to keep risk and tracking error within allowable bounds.
F.W. Olin Opens New Design Zone
The F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College has recently renovated the Olin 125 classroom to enhance design thinking and entrepreneurial thought and action. The completely remodeled classroom was specifically designed to enable collaboration, creative thinking and problem solving.
The renovation was inspired by the recent surge in new graduate programs and courses that employ design methods to teach entrepreneurial approaches that required more classroom space that enables and supports innovation. Since innovative problem solving is an essential goal in the MSM degree program, faculty and staff sought to recreate the space to help shape the culture and habits of a creative learning community.
Babson Ranked No. 1 by Money Mag
Money magazine has named Babson College the No. 1 college in America on its new List of Best Colleges. According to the magazine, the rankings are based on “a new approach to ranking colleges that uses unique measures of educational quality, affordability, and career outcome s to help families find the right school at the right price.”

Olin Alumnus Appointed VP of Product Management at PeopleFluent
PeopleFluent, a leading social human capital management technology company announced the appointment of F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business alumnus Rajan Venkitachalam as its vice president of product management. Mr. Venkitachalam joins PeopleFluent from Caradigm, where he served as director of program management.
