The 30% Club, FT and Henley Business School Announce Women in Leadership MBA Scholarship 2015

Henley Business School, in association with the Financial Times, announces the launch of its prestigious MBA scholarship competition for The 30% Club Women in Leadership Scholarship.

The Scholarship aims for a greater visibility of women in leadership across all industry positions and reflects a mission to encourage and increase female gender balance.

The winner will receive a fully-funded place, worth up to £35,750, on one of a variety of Henley MBA programs. Starting in October 2015, this scholarship is designed to offer practical support for the development of strong female talent, as part of the 30% Club’s ‘Balancing the Pyramid Project’.  Continue reading…

D’Amore-McKim Online MBA Ranked No. 2 in United States

The Financial Times has ranked the online MBA program at the D’Amore-McKim School of Business no. 2 in the United States in its 2015 online MBA program rankings. The online program was also ranked no. 4 globally. Programs that are ranked must be AACSB accredited and have at least 70 percent of their program content delivered online.

The 2015 ranking is based on surveys of schools and of alumni who graduated in 2011. Alumni were asked to rate how well their degree was delivered online and the level of interaction with peers and academic staff. Fifteen schools from the United States and abroad were ranked in the 2015 report. The no. 1 school was IE Business School in Madrid, Spain. The no. 1 US program was Hough Graduate School of Business at the University of Florida.

GWSB Receives Accolades for International Business and MBA Programs

U.S. News and World Report’s 2016 Best Graduate Programs ranks The George Washington University School of Business among the best in the nation for its International Business program and #15 for its MBA program is their rankings that were released on March 10, 2015.

According to the GWSB website, the university’s location in the heart of the nation’s capital, minutes from the World Bank and International Monetary Fund, “offers distinctive advantages for both students who wish to gain practical experience and faculty who wish to perform academic research that has global implications.” Continue reading…

Ashridge Professor To Release Book On Market Capitalism Reform

Ashridge Business School’s Eve Poole will release a new book on March 26th.  The book  is the first to critique all of the assumptions on which Market Capitalism is based in one volume and propose a unique new agenda. This book is the first to critique all of the assumptions on which Market Capitalism is based in one volume and propose a unique new agenda.

Eve Poole teaches at Ashridge Business School. She has also worked for Deloitte Consulting in the financial services industry; and the Church Commissioners, who run a £6 billion portfolio. Her clients range from EY and Tesco to the Foreign Office and the Royal Shakespeare Company, and this breadth of experience makes her a popular commentator on leadership, ethics, and public life.

McCombs Makes Moves in FT Rankings

University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business moved up two spots to number 19 among U.S. Schools in the Financial Times full-time global MBA ranking. This is McCombs best rank since the survey began in 1999. McCombs also tied its best achievement ranking 6 among public schools. A full report of McCombs’ performance in the FT ranking can be found in this McCombs Today article.

The FT survey ranks 100 institutions around the world each year. After surveying 159 schools the list is parsed down until only 100 remain. Of the 100 schools fifty are U.S. programs and 50 are international. In global rankings McCombs came in at the number 40 spot – the second highest for the school in 12 years. The global list was topped by Havard, Wharton and Stanford.  Continue reading…
