Gabelli Marketing Lecture Series Examines Consumer Insights
Fordham’s Gabelli School of Business hosted a marketing lecture series at Lincoln Center late last month focused on the emerging field of consumer insights, which “explores markets from the viewpoint of real people,” according to a recent article on Gabelli Connect, the school’s website.
Gabelli Hosts Conference on Sustainable Business Practices
Fordham’s Gabelli Graduate School of Business published an article about lessons gleaned from a recent “humanistic management conference” that featured four panelists with a “passion for making the world a better place.” The panelists included sustainable business pioneer Hunter Lovins; former Fortune 500 company CEO Brent Martini; AACSB International President David Levine; and Change Everything author Christian Felber.
Gabelli Exposes Effects of Negative Word-of-Mouth
Fordham-Gabelli’s Graduate School of Business recently posted an article by Tom Stoelker on “how negative word-of-mouth communications may affect different markets” as part of agent-based modeling research published in the International Journal of Research in Marketing.
Gabelli Creates New Student Book Club
The Gabelli School of Business will start a new book club for students in the fall. This new club will give students the opportunity to come together to read the published research and writings of Fordham University professors. Students in the club will be given books free of charge, along with a study guide from the author.
The program was created by Greer Jason-DiBartolo, assistant dean for freshmen at the Gabelli School and Lisa Green, the manager of the undergraduate integrated core curriculum. The club will consist of about 10 to 12 students. Jason-DiBartolo said that if there is a big interest in the club, they will see if the professors could expand to holding two discussions so that the group remains small enough to keep students engaged.
Fordham Hosts Graduate Information Session
The Fordham Graduate School of Business Administration will be hosting an information session for prospective students. The information session will be held Feb. 24 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Fordham University campus. During the event, prospective students will have the opportunity to learn more about the full-time and part-time MBA programs at Fordham as well as information on the admissions process and an introduction to Career Management resources and opportunities at Fordham.
Fordham GSB offers a unique Pre-MBA program for MBA students. This program gives students an opportunity to test run the program as well as get a head start on the program. In order to participate in the Pre-MBA program, applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent form an accredited undergraduate institution, complete a Pre-MBA application form, supply all official undergraduate and graduate transcripts, provide a professional résumé and pay a $130 application fee.
Fordham Holds Info Session for EMBA
Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business is holding an upcoming information session for its Executive MBA program. The event will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2015. It will be held at the Fordham campus from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The Executive MBA program at Fordham is a 22-month program. Classes are held once a month over the course of three-day weekends per month. The program is designed for mid-range-professionals on the path towards leadership positions. Generally students are seeking additional business training to handle their challenging assignments and responsibilities and accelerate their advancement. The program is held in a cohort format of 24 students who complete the program together.
