GWSB MBA Ranked by U.S. News & World Report

Out of more than 450 accredited MBA programs, the George Washington University School of Business (GWSB) MBA (Full-time) program came in ranked 51st in the 2017 U.S. News & World Report rankings. This was a seven spot improvement from last year’s rankings for the GWSB MBA. The U.S. News & World Report full-time rankings are derived from the collective results of a survey of business school deans and MBA program directors.

How to Choose Between Full-Time and Part-Time MBA Programs

When deciding to return to school for an MBA, students have many options to consider. While deciding which school to attend is the main decision, choosing what kind of program to complete is also a significant hurdle. Not all schools provide full-time working students with the flexibility to schedule around their work week. Some programs only offer classes during the day, which can conflict with a working student’s schedule, while others offer classes at night, which may be easier for working students to complete.

The decision to complete the MBA in a part-time or full-time format can determine when and where you will attend business school, the overall cost of returning to school and the time it will take you to complete the program. It is important to decide what kind of schedule fits best with your personal obligations as well as your current work commitments. Deciding what kind of program to complete can determine your final decision on where to attend business school.

Mays Moves up in New Ranking from U.S. News & World Report

In the latest U.S. News & World Report (2016) “Best Business Schools” rankings of graduate business schools, the Full-Time MBA program at Texas A&M University’s Mays Business School moved up in the ranks. Mays found itself in the top ten among public universities, pulling in to 9th place and tying with University of Minnesota. Among all U.S. schools, Mays placed 27th overall tying with University of Minnesota and Vanderbilt University. Continue reading…

Scheller Adds New Concentrations to MBA Programs

Not requiring students to declare a concentration in their Full-time or Evening MBA programs is something Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business considers a hallmark of their program. But this attitude hasn’t stopped them from formulating four new concentrations for the new school year for both the Full-Time and Evening MBA programs.

In a mid-January press release by the school, Scheller announced it has formalized its new interdisciplinary concentrations. The concentrations were based on input from Scheller’s faculty as well as discussions with industry leaders and an in-depth assessment of business trends. Continue reading…

REGISTER: Discover Kogod on January 31

The Kogod School of Business admissions department will be holding a “Discover Kogod” session on January 31 from 9:30 AM – 2:00 PM. The information session is for any prospective MBA looking to learn more about graduate business education at the Kogod School of Business and will include an Admissions Overview along with Academic Overviews of the Full-time and Professional (Part-time) MBA programs. Throughout the day, Kogod faculty, graduate admissions representatives, and current students will be available to speak about the programs and answer any questions.
