George Mason Earns AACSB Accreditation Once Again
George Mason’s School of Business has once again maintained its business and accounting accreditations by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), according to a press release on the school’s website. AACSB Accreditation is highest form of accreditation for a school’s business program—Less than five percent of the world’s business programs have been recognized with this level of accreditation. George Mason MBA Alumni To Receive Service Award
On April 23, 2015 the George Mason University Alumni Association will recognize Michael Gallagher, MBA ’94, as the recipient of the school’s 2015 Alumni Service Award.
“Michael Gallagher was chosen as the Alumni Service Award winner for 2015 because he has remained actively involved with the Alumni Association, the School of Business, and the university while also achieving demonstrated success in the business world,” said Adriane Ackley, director of alumni operations, in a press release on the George Mason School of Business website. Mason MBA Alum named International Consultant of the Year
Jonathan R. Snowling, a senior partner at SR Strategic Communications and George Mason MBA alum, was honored with the 2015 American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC) Campaign Excellence Award for International Consultant of the Year.
Winning this award wasn’t easy, and neither was Snowling’s task of steering Juan Carlos Varela’s presidential campaign in the Republic of Panama. A U.S. invasion in 1989 ended the dictatorship of Manuel Noriega in the country. Since then, there have only been 5 free elections. Continue reading…
Mason Students Pitch Innovative Ideas At Conference
The Mason Enterprise Research Conference gave six George Mason School of Business students a special opportunity to sell 75 business leaders and entrepreneurial academics on their ideas and inventions.
The annual conference holds its focus on innovation launchpads, that is, co-working spaces, incubators and accelerators. Six “seed level” teams of Mason-based innovators were given time to present during the Mason Innovation Lab Patriot Demo Day session. The groups showcased their ideas in an attempt to convince one of the bigwigs in attendance to help them, either with advice or their checkbook. Continue reading…
