McDonough Global Career Conference and Expo Allows to Students to Connect With International Executives
The fourth annual Global Career Conference and Expo (GCCE) at Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business did its part to help top MBA employers from around the world connect with graduating students eager to work abroad and across cultures. Hosted by the McDonough School of Business and Barcelona’s ESADE Business School, this year’s expo attracted students from 27 top business schools from around the country as well as representatives from 20 multi-national corporations.
McDonough Host Technoir 2.0 Pitch Competition
Five exciting tech start-ups from the Washington DC Metro pitched their ideas for business success in front of 600 listeners at Technoir 2.0, a pitch competition and networking event for African American and minority entrepreneurs sponsored by the McDonough School of Business.
“Organizations like Technoir 2.0 are helping to showcase the wonderful talent that comes from every corner of our community,” said Jeff Reid, founding director of the Georgetown Entrepreneurship Initiative. “It’s important for Georgetown University and the McDonough School of Business to engage with the local community. McDonough’s MBA Employment Report Reflects Increase in Job Offers
MBA Career Center at the McDonough School of Business released its 2014 MBA Employment Report. This year’s annual report shows encouraging figures that show increases in employer engagement, compensation and the impact of the school’s career services on students.

McDonough Professors Take Time to Teach Brazilian MS Execs
Executives from within Microsoft’s Brazilian subsidiary attended a special executive education course at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. The five-day Microsoft Brazil Leadership Program addressed the tech company’s focus on giving their international executives insights on innovative thinking, international strategy and planning and implementing change management. The trip also featured a trip to a young innovative firm, EverFi, where discussion focused on innovation, technology and managing millennials. Continue reading…
