McDonough Hires Eight News Faculty Members
Last month, the McDonough School of Business hired eight new full-time instructors to its list of respected faculty members.

McDonough Students and Alumni Cap Off Incubator at 1776
Georgetown McDonough School of Business students and alumni shared their enterprising business ideas at 1776—an event that capped off the two-month long incubator program through the Georgetown Entrepreneurship Initiative’s StartupHoyas. This year, 18 ventures made of students and alumni participated in the Summer Launch Program where teams developed a broad range of business ideas, from food to fashion to fantasy soccer. Rural Entrepreneurship Challenged Launched at McDonough
The American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) has teamed up with the McDonough School of Business Global Social Enterprise Initiative (GSEI) and the Georgetown Entrepreneurship Initiative’s StartupHoyas to create the Rural Entrepreneurship Challenge. This new competition is an opportunity for students to put their best ideas and business innovations to the test. McDonough Hosting Student Startups in Summer Incubator
The Startup Hoyas Summer Launch Program at the McDonough School of Business will host 17 entrepreneurial ventures this summer in its startup incubator program. This special summer program is designed specifically for current students and recent graduates who want to launch a new venture.
The program’s various benefits include: dedicated support from Georgetown faculty, mentors, and other experienced entrepreneurs; work space in the business school’s Rafik B. Hariri Building on the Georgetown campus; introductions to local investors and entrepreneurs, including access to the 1776 startup incubator; invitations to exclusive networking events; and the opportunity to present their ideas to the DC entrepreneurial community.
