“ “Quality, web-based programs limit class sizes to about 30”, says David Lindsay, dean of the business school at California State University, Stanislaus, which offers an online MBA. “At the Ageno School of Business, part of the nonprofit Golden Gate University in San Francisco, administrators actually keep class sizes smaller for online than on-campus courses,” says Paul Fouts, the school’s dean.
GGU Holds Express Admissions Event
Golden Gate University will hold an Express Admissions event for prospective students. The event will be held Oct. 8, 2014 from noon until 2:00 p.m. The event is open for graduate, undergraduate and international students.
During the event, attendants will be able to speak with the Golden Gate University staff. Admissions professionals will be available to answer all question about returning to school. Golden Gate Launches Small Business Program
Golden Gate University will launch its first Small Business Program designed to help its alumni become successful small business owners during the 2014 fall semester. The year-long pilot program is supported by a $300,000 grant from Chevron. The program is free, thanks to the Chevron grant.
“We’re responding to a need for this type of programing,” says Paul Fouts, Dean of GGU’s Edward S. Ageno School of Business. “This is not for people chasing the start-up dream. This is a more traditional business approach serving GGU alumni who are thinking about starting a practice or small business.”
