Graziadio Opens New Campus for Exec Education
The Graziadio School of Business and Management has opened a new campus for executive education. The new Silicon Valley Center is located in the San Francisco Bay area in San Jose, California.
The Silicon Valley Center serves communities throughout the San Francisco Bay Area including San Francisco proper, Peninsula, North Bay, East Bay, South Bay, Silicon Valley, Santa Clara, San Jose, Sunnyvale, Cupertino, Saratoga, Palo Alto, Milpitas, Campbell, Los Gatos, Gilroy, Stanford, Fremont, Redwood City, San Mateo, and Pleasanton.
Graziadio Releases Infograph on LA Metro MBA’s
The Graziadio School of Business blog has released an infographic on who in the Los Angeles metro area are attending graduate business school. The blog post cites information on several other metro areas as well as information from the Graduate Management Admission Council’s latest prospective student survey. Graziadio Student Shares Experience
Graziadio School of Business student Cynthia Fields offers an insight to her first semester in a distance learning class for prospective students in the Graziadio Voice blog. Fields is pursuing her Master of Science in Organization Development at Graziadio.

Graziadio Offers Second Half Significance Certificate
Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management, in collaboration with the Halftime Institute, is offering a new Certificate in Second Half Significance. This program is based on Bob Buford’s best-selling book about how to find meaning and fulfillment in the second half of life (Halftime, 1994) and leadership insight from the Graziadio School of Business and Management. It is designed to help high-capacity leaders move from success to significance by living a life with greater joy and impact.
The program includes one year of executive coaching, monthly cohort calls, a three-day launch workshop and access to Halftime Talent Solutions’ executive search expertise.
David M. Smith Named Interim Dean of Graziadio
David M. Smith, senior associate dean and associate professor of economics, has been named interim dean of the Graziadio School of Business and Management, effective August 1, 2014.
“I am honored to serve the university in this capacity. We have a great team of faculty and staff to help advance the Graziadio School over the coming year, to pursue our strategic priorities, as well as fulfill the university mission,” Smith said.
Application Period Open for Graziado Global Program
The application period for the Graziado Global Program “Brazil” will open July 7, 2014. The one-week program will take place December 7 to December 13, 2014. Participants will discover the technology and manufacturing hub of Brazil, the largest country in Latin America with a world of opportunity for business.
The program will cost $3,595 for a single room accommodation and $3,095 for a shared room. Participants are required to find his or her own roommate for a shared room. The program fee includes lodging for six nights, breakfasts and some lunches, classroom sessions, speakers, company visits, government visits, cultural tours, or activities, transportation during the program week (including airfare transportation from Sao Paulo to Curitiba-roundtrip back to Sao Paulo.)
Students may take this course for credit. Classes will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Students are also required to pay a Brazil Visa Fee of $185. Applications will be accepted until October 3, 2014. There will be a mandatory pre-departure meeting on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. Applications can be completed online.
