Booth Names Clifford Chiu Hong Kong Campus’ Executive-in-Residence
The Booth School of Business has appointed Clifford Chiu as the first Distinguished Executive-in-Residence for the school’s new Hong Kong campus. According to a press release by the University of Chicago, Chiu is a senior adviser at Neuberger Berman Group and at Angelo, Gordon & Co., as well as a non-executive director of Hsin Chong Construction Group and Cambium Learning Group. He retired last year as a partner of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., where he led capital raising and investor relations for the Asia Pacific region. Continue reading…
Booth School Awaiting Approval of New Facility in Asia
Chicago Booth is excited to be carving out a new outpost in Asia. A project to renovate the historic Mount Davis site, which is in the approval process, would create a University of Chicago center fit to house the Chicago Booth Executive MBA Program in Asia. The site, found within dense urban landscape of Hong Kong, would establish a new intellectual hub in one of the world’s fastest-growing economies.
First a little history: Mount Davis served as an artillery battery in the 1930s and after World War II was converted to a mess and clubhouse for British officers. It later served as a government detention facility. Continue reading…
The First Ticketmaster Scholarship for Henley’s Music and Creative Industries MBA is Awarded
The first Ticketmaster Scholarship for the Henley Business School MBA for Music and Creative Industries has been awarded to Isabelle von Weber, Senior Legal Adviser at the British Council, the UK’s premiere organisation for international cultural relations.
Applications for the scholarship were opened earlier this year and attracted a vast array of talent from across the creative industries, including the Head of Disney Music and the Glastonbury musical director for the Green Peace stage.
Applicants were required to write an essay on leadership qualities in the live entertainment sector. Following this, a shortlist of six entrants was welcomed to Ticketmaster offices, where they took part in face-to-face interviews with Mark Yovich (President, Ticketmaster International), Simon Presswell (Managing Director, Ticketmaster UK) and Helen Gammons (Programme Director – MBA for Music & Creative Industries, Henley Business School).

Sloan Launches On The Road Program
The MIT Sloan School of Management admissions team has launched the summer tour. Prospective students are invited to meet alumni and admissions representatives at MIT Sloan on the Road events.
MIT Sloan admissions staff are traveling the world this summer to host a series of information sessions for people interested in attending the school. The annual events, known as MIT Sloan on the Road, also offer prospective students a chance to meet MIT Sloan alumni from their region.
