REGISTER: Discover Kogod on January 31
The Kogod School of Business admissions department will be holding a “Discover Kogod” session on January 31 from 9:30 AM – 2:00 PM. The information session is for any prospective MBA looking to learn more about graduate business education at the Kogod School of Business and will include an Admissions Overview along with Academic Overviews of the Full-time and Professional (Part-time) MBA programs. Throughout the day, Kogod faculty, graduate admissions representatives, and current students will be available to speak about the programs and answer any questions. Kogod Graduates First Professional Part-Time MBA Class
The Kogod School of Business celebrated the first graduating class of its Professional (part-time) MBA program on Tuesday, December 16, 2014. These students were the first to complete Kogod’s 27-month program that was recently revamped by the university to cater specifically to the needs of the working professional.
The Kogod Professional MBA is designed for the working professional in the D.C. region and meets one evening per week (6:00-9:00 PM), offering the flexibility to manage both the professional and personal commitments that working individuals have to juggle while earning an MBA degree. Kogod Women in Business Named Student Chapter of the Year
The Kogod Women in Business (KWIB) received special distinction at the National Association of Women MBAs‘ (NAWMBA) annual conference as the group from the Kogod School of Business were named the 2014 Student Chapter of the Year.
Forty percent of students in Kogod MBA programs are female, which is more than any other business school in the area. When applying for MBA programs, KWIB Co-president Lisa Andrusyszyn, MBA ’15 liked Kogod’s D.C. location. But ultimately it was then influx of talented and ambitious students who really helped make her decision easy. Continue reading…
DC Schools Take First and Second at Battle of the Beltway Case Competition
A record-setting number of participants crowded into Duquès Hall for this year’s Battle of the Beltway Case Competition on Mon., November 10th. Fifteen teams representing schools from all over the east coast competed in the annual event, which is hosted by Deloitte. While competing, students gain valuable experience by analyzing and working through case studies while being exposed to the consulting industry and Deloitte’s Federal practice. Continue reading…
Kogod Host Conference Discussing Sovereign Wealth Funds
The Kogod School of Business hosted an international conference last month to discuss sovereign wealth funds (SWFs), investments owned by governments. Business in the Capital Series Kicks off at Kogod
The Kogod School of Business launched its new Business in the Capital event series with James Alex, a principal accountant with EY, formerly Ernst & Young LLP, addressing the changing world of accounting auditor independence. Alex’s address showcased Kogod’s commitment to business in the nation’s capital. Other pillars of the series are Health and BioTech, Business to Government, and Entrepreneurship and Tech.
