Selecting an Application Round

Stanford allows applicants to apply to one of the three application rounds each year and applicants may apply only once per application year.

Stanford encourages applicants not to rush their application, however have noted there are advantages to applying in either Round 1 or Round 2, including:

  • Ample time to complete recommended quantitative and/or English language coursework prior to arrival on campus.
  • Access to the on-campus housing lottery including Stanford GSB Residences (Jack McDonald Hall and Schwab Residential Center).
  • Additional time to complete the visa application process (Bechtel International Center).
  • The opportunity to attend Admit Weekend (there is no Admit Weekend for Round 3).

Decision Notification

Stanford posts your decision to your account on the notification dates listed above for the round in which you applied. They will also send an email to the address used to create your application profile to notify you when your decision is available. Once you hear back from Stanford, please share your results on Clear Admit’s MBA Livewire.

Additional Notes on the Cornell Johnson 2020-2021 Application Process

Initial Notification Date: Following a preliminary review of your application and materials, you will receive one of three initial notifications by the posted date for the round in which you submitted your application: invitation to interview, waitlist without interview, or denial of admission.

Final Notification Date: Following your interview, final decisions, including invitations to join the waitlist, will be released on a rolling basis and posted no later than the date noted for the round in which you submitted your application. Your decision will be posted to your Johnson Application page and you will receive an email message indicating that your decision is available.

MBA Checklist for the Yale Full-Time MBA 2020-2021

Refer to this list to be sure your application to the Two-Year MBA program or One-Year MBA program includes the following:

To apply to the Yale School of Management, applicants must have earned a four-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. institution or the international equivalent. Applicants must submit the online application (including an essay), and the following materials:

  • Transcripts from every college or university attended
  • Two professional recommendations
  • Complete the video questions
  • Official GMAT or GRE score (valid within 5 years of exam date)
  • Pay the application fee (To make the application process as affordable as possible for candidates  with diverse backgrounds, the Yale School of Management uses a sliding-scale application fee structure. The standard application fee is $250. For applicants earning less than $20,000 a year, the application fee is $175. For applicants earning less than $10,000 a year, it is $125. The application fee is based on the self-reported compensation information you provide in the application.)

Spring Start

The academic calendar for first-year students at Lauder begins in May. That means MBA students are on the University of Pennsylvania campus before the bulk of their Wharton classmates arrive, so they get a head start when it comes to making friends in the Lauder Institute’s tight-knit community. JD/MA candidates start the program just after their first year of law school ends, so they are already well-oriented to the Penn campus and Philadelphia. All students graduate from Lauder with their business or law school class.

Expectations

Students come to the Lauder Institute from a diverse assortment of countries, industries, and educational backgrounds. In the aggregate, they speak dozens of languages, and all enter with advanced knowledge of at least one language other than English.

Given the diversity of the applicant pool, the Admission Committee has no formula for success in the admissions process. Generally speaking, a successful application demonstrates the following:

Application Requirements for MBA@UNC Online MBA 2021

UNC Kenan-Flagler seeks students whose academic background, professional experience and leadership abilities meet the rigorous demands of our top-ranked program—regardless of the format they choose. MBA@UNC look for candidates with strong professional and academic backgrounds who can thrive in our collaborative, team-based environment.

The MBA@UNC requires applicants to have a minimum of two years professional work experience.

Students must have a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university. International candidates must have a college-level education equivalent to an American undergraduate or baccalaureate degree (the same as a first university degree). Generally this is a 4-year degree.

There are a number of universities around the world that offer 3-year undergraduate programs. If you received a bachelor’s degree upon completion of one of these 3-year undergraduate programs, you are eligible to apply to our program.

MBA@UNC’s testing requirement is based on the applicant’s number of years of professional full-time work experience as a general policy. However, the Admissions Committee will consider online student GMAT waiver requests on a case-by-case basis.

Please note that no GMAT/GRE waiver is automatic and an approved waiver request does not guarantee admission to the program.

The MBA@UNC school code for the GMAT is D40.HL.07. The code for the GRE is 0024. TOEFL External link , IELTS External link or PTE Academic External link is required for applicants for whom English is not the native language. Our school code for these tests is 5816. You do not need to submit a TOEFL, IELTS or PTE score if:

  • You earned an undergraduate or graduate degree at a U.S. college or university
  • You total education was conducted in English in a native English-speaking country
  • You earned an undergraduate degree or graduate degree from India. We will request test scores from some Indian candidates as needed
