Kogod Ranked #58 In New Bloomberg Rankings

In Bloomberg Businessweek’s 2015 ranking of full-time MBA programs, American University’s Kogod School of Business came in ranked as the #58 full-time MBA program in the country.

In past years, the rankings were compiled by considering a number of categories that measure strength of education as well as which programs best prepare MBA candidates for their future careers. The 2016 Military Friendly Schools List Includes Alliant International University

On November 5, Victory Media released its 2016 Military Friendly Schools report. Sixteen colleges, trade schools, and universities in San Diego made it onto the list of “military friendly” schools, including Alliant International University, Point Loma Nazarene University, and UC San Diego. This is the seventh year Victoria Media’s Military Friendly® ratings reviewed post-secondary schools to discover who had the leading programs for veterans, members of the Armed Forces leaving military service, and military spouses. Veteran’s Day: Getting Your MBA After the Military

The prospect of going to business school for your MBA after leaving the military can be daunting. The military and university classes do not seem to have a strong connection. However, that’s not the case. Most MBA programs place a strong emphasis on leadership, and for military personnel, that’s a well-understood concept. In an article for the Military Times, Mary Lea McAnally, the Associate Dean of Graduate Programs at A&M’s Mays Business School, stressed that for veterans, who are already well schooled in leadership, “this transition is not going to be as hard as you think,” Mary said. “What they’ve done in the military is so applicable to business school—and business when they graduate.” Continue reading…
