Loyola University Chicago Partners With 1871

According to an article on the Quinlan School of Business website, Loyola University Chicago and 1871, a co-working space for digital and tech entrepreneurs located in Chicago’s Merchandise Mart building, have partnered up. Referred to as “the Silicon Valley of Chicago,” 1871 connects startup ideas with mentors, educational resources, potential investors, and a community of like-minded individuals and companies.

A partnership with a leading Metro-area business school makes a lot of sense for the both the university and the cooperative space. Now Loyola students, faculty, and staff will now have access to a small space at 1871 that will allow six student-entrepreneurs to work and network together. Continue reading…

UC Davis Wins 18 Awards, 3 at Graduate School of Management

UC Davis recently won 18 awards from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) for their work in marketing and communications, alumni relations, and development, according to a press release from the school. Their Graduate School of Management won three of the awards given out by the organization. The awards come from CASE’s Disctrict VII, which consists of California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Hawaii, Guam, and the Northern Mariana Islands. Continue reading…

George Mason School of Business: A Way Of Life

Meet the Ragan’s: a business-minded family that has stuck together through the years.

Several generations of the family has worked at the family’s business, Joe Ragan’s Coffee, which Joe Ragan III’s father started in 1966.  In addition to the tradition of working at the family business, the Ragan family has also sent six family members to George Mason University.
