Davis Ranked in Top Categories by The Economist
The Economist has ranked UC Davis Graduate School of Management in the top of several categories. Overall, The Economist places UC Davis among the top 8 percent of accredited MBA programs in the U.S. UC Davis is No. 39 in the U.S. and No. 68 globally.
The Graduate School of Management’s faculty quality was ranked no. 15 globally. It was ranked no. 23 globally for the percentage of graduates who received a job offer within three months of graduation, no. 32 globally for graduates’ percentage increase on pre-MBA salary and no. 35 globally for student quality.
Carey MBA Alumni Named to Baltimore Business Journal “40 Under 40” List
Baltimore Business Journal released its list of “40 Under 40” honorees for 2014. Of the 40 people recognized by the BBJ, three were Johns Hopkins Carey Business School MBA graduates. These Carey alumni were recognized for their leadership in the local business community. The honorees are: Olga Maltseva Brillman (MBA, ’12), Kwame Kuadey (MBA, ’08), and Alex Kopicki (MSRE, ’11). LMU Pres. to Step Down at End of School Year
Loyola Marymount University President David W. Burcham has announced that he will step down at the end of the current school year. A search committee headed by David Zuercher, a 1968 graduate of LMU and member of the Board of Trustees, is expected to find Burcham’s replacement by May 2015.
Burcham became the university’s 15th president in October 2010, after serving as provost, executive vice president, dean of Loyola Law School and a professor of constitutional law. He will have spent 24 years at the university when he leaves office on May 31, 2015.
Haas Student Comments on Largest Class of Women
Haas School of Business student Ryann Kopacka, MBA ’16, shares her experience of what it is like to be in a class with 43 percent women. This is part one of a three part blog series from Haas about the large percentage of women who are attending the school in the class of 2016.
In this first part of the blog series, Kopacka shares her experience as a newly admitted MBA student at Haas. She shares how the community of women at Haas immediately reached out to her and offered a warm welcome made her feel like she was part of the Haas family before she had even accepted the offer to attend.

La Salle University’s School of Business is holding an online information session for its part-time and Saturday MBA programs. The event will be held October 24, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Registration for the event can be completed online. The event is free for anyone who wishes to attend.
All of the MBA programs at La Salle University are internationally recognized for having earned Association for the Advancement of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) accreditation. Less than five percent of business schools worldwide earn this distinction.
