Quinlan Opens John and Kathy Schreiber Center Up For Business in Chicago
We’ve been writing a lot about the John and Kathy Schreiber Center lately in this space. The Loyola community was finally able to official celebrate the opening of the new home of the Quinlan School of Business with a ribbon cutting and building blessing on August 27.
Quinlan is moving to the new 10-story building on the Water Tower campus named for the Schreibers, alumni John Schreiber and his wife Kathy, who promised $10 million to the school last year. According to Crain’s, the building will found at the corner of State Street and Pearson Avenue will house Loyola’s Family Business Center, Center for Risk Management and its Supply and Value Chain Center in addition to hosting undergraduate, graduate and executive-education business classes. DePaul University Offering MBA Degree With Real Estate Focus
As the real estate industry rebounds from its bursted bubble a few year back, DePaul University’s Kellstadt School of Business provides various opportunities for graduate students who want to enter or advance in the field.
“After the real estate slowdown of the last few years, the job market for real estate graduates has improved substantially recently,” Charles Wurtzebach, chairman of the Department of Real Estate at DePaul University, said in an article on the school’s website. “All sectors of commercial real estate appear to be expanding and need new employees to keep up with the expansion. George Mason University Ranked #47 is Best Universities Worldwide for Business List
China’s Shanghai Jiao Tong University recently put together the Academic Ranking of World Universities — a study of faculty and alumni data from 1,200 schools around the world in order to rank these institutions of higher education. In the rankings, George Mason University ranks 47th for economics and business — a testament to the George Mason School of Business.
In addition to the high rank in the world of business, Mason was also ranked among the top 151-200 of the best 500 universities in the world by. It is the eighth year Mason has placed in that tier in the Academic Ranking of World Universities since the rankings began in 2003. Continue reading…
