Lubin Holds EMBA Open House Events
The Lubin School of Business at Pace University will be holding two open house events for its Executive MBA program. The open house events will be held Jan. 10 and Jan. 11, 2015. Both of the events will be held at the Downtown Conference Center at Pace University.
During the event, prospective students will have the opportunity to sit in on a real EMBA class and talk with current students and faculty. During the class, students will participate in classroom activities and team project meetings. Prospective students will have the opportunity to learn about the application process, options for financing an EMBA degree at the Lubin school and the best way to balance student and professional lives.
Pace Holds Accelerated Admission Days for Vets
The Offices of Graduate Admission at Pace Univesrity will be hosting Accelerated Admission Days for veteran, reservist, and active duty military applicants. The event will be held Monday, January 12, 2015 from 9 a.m. 5 p.m. Prospective students can bring a completed application and all supporting documents to receive an admission decision the same day. Additionally, the school will waive the application fee ($70 for a graduate application).
Admission counselors will be available to review prospective student application materials and answer any questions about the admission process, financial aid, or academic programs offered at Pace University. The Office of Student Assistance Veteran Team will also be available to assist you with benefit-related questions. For Graduate program applicants, a small number of applications for certain Master’s programs may require additional review and a decision will follow soon afterwards.

During the open house, attendants will be able to participate in classroom activities and team project meetings, meet all of the Executive MBA faculty and staff, talk to current students about their experiences in the Executive MBA program and learn about the application process, options for financing the Executive MBA degree, how to balance the time demands of a job with the program, home and family.
Lubin Partners With Media Storm
The Lubin School of Business has partnered with independent media agency Media Storm as part of its new masters in social media and mobile marketing program. The school launched the program last year, with the goal of helping to bridge the gap between academia and employer demands in the digital age. The agency will provide internships, classroom instruction linked to “real world” projects and other educational resources.
In return, the program will be co-branded as the Media Storm Masters in Social Media and Mobile Marketing at the Lubin School of Business.
Pace’s Leslie F. Seidman to Speak at Women’s Global Leadership Summit
Leslie F. Seidman, Executive Director of the Center for Excellence in Financial Reporting at Pace University and former Chairman of the Financial Accounting Standards Board, will speak at the Women’s Global Leadership Summit. The American Institute of CPAs, the world’s largest member organization representing the accounting profession, will host the event. The event will be held Thursday, October 23, 2014.
Seidman will discuss her journey to becoming the first female Chairman of the FASB as part of a panel discussion on “Women Trailblazers: Path to Being the First.”
Lubin Announces Winner of Biz Plan Comp.
The Lubin School of Business at Pace University has announced the 2014 winners of the Pace Business Plan Competition. This year’s winner is MBA graduate Christa Gray Page. Her business is 50ROOTS.com.
50ROOTS.com is an e-commerce site dedicated to selling Made in the USA products. Its mission is to support the American Made Movement by connecting socially and environmentally responsible consumers with high quality, homegrown, innovative, made in America products.
