New Merage School Building Complete
Construction for the new building for the Paul Merage School of Business at UC, Irvine has been completed. The University will hold a grand opening celebration for the new business school building on May 8, 2015. An open house for current students, alumni and prospective students will be held from 2 to 6:30 p.m. This interested in attending the open house can register online.
The University broke ground for the new building on Jan. 9, 2013. The building is the first new facility added to the business school campus since 1989. The building was constructed as part of The Merage School’s Building for the Future campaign. The campaign is a $50 million building initiative that plans to better the school through new student learning opportunities, faculty research, community engagement, and facilities and grounds.
Merage Ranked by US News
The Fully Employed MBA program at the Paul Merage School of Business has been ranked no. 37 in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2016 Best Business Schools rankings. This new ranking has moved Merage up nine spots. Merge has now also moved up in to the top five programs in California.
Tony Hansford, senior assistant dean of the Part-Time and Executive MBA Programs at the Merage School said that the new rankings can be accredited to the positive peer reviews that the school has received from other part-time MBA program leaders.
Merage Holds Admissions Webinar
The Paul Merage School of Business will be hosting an upcoming webinar for prospective students. This webinar will give prospective students an inside look at what recruiters for the school are looking for in a Full-Time MBA program candidate. The webinar will be held March 10 at 3 p.m. Registration for the event will open soon.
The Full-Time MBA Program at Merage is a two-year program that follows the quarter system. The academic year typically runs from late-September to mid-June. 92 units are required to complete the program. During the second semester of the program, students have the opportunity to customize their MBA curriculum through electives. The areas of focus include, accounting, finance, global, healthcare, information systems, marketing, operation and decision technologies, organization and management, real estate, strategy and wealth management.
Merage Hosts MBA Information Session
The Paul Merage School of Business will be hosting an information session for its full-time MBA program. The event will be held on the UC Irvine campus from 9 to 11 a.m. During the information session, prospective students will have the opportunity to learn more about the Full-Time MBA program and meet Admissions Directors, current students and alumni.

Merage Holds Admissions Lunch in Long Beach
The Paul Merage School of Business will be holding an admissions lunch event for its Fully Employed MBA, Healthcare Exectutive MBA and Executive Education program in Long Beach. The event will be held Jan. 15 at the Rock Bottom Brewery in Long Beach. The event will begin at noon and last until 1 p.m.
The lunch event is designed to provide prospective Merage School students with a brief over view of the Fully Employed, Executive and Health Care Executive MBA program options. During the event, attendants will have the opportunity to ask the admissions team, current students and alumni any question about the part-time program options at the Merage School of Business.
Merage Receives Positive Rankings from Recruiters
Ranking reports indicate solid support for UC Irvine’s Paul Merage School of Business from recruiters. Ranking results are up significantly in both U.S. News & World Report and Bloomberg BusinessWeek. In the 2015 U.S. News recruiter assessments, the Merage School jumped 56 spots to rank no. 41. In the 2014 Bloomberg BusinessWeek employer survey, the school jumped 27 spots to rank no. 23 among employers.
In the most recent “Best Business School 2014” report from Bloomberg Businessweek, the Merage School of Business was ranked no. 31 among top MBA programs in the nation, up 12 spots from 2012. This has secured the Merage School’s place among the top six percent of AACSB accredited institutions in the U.S. The Financial Times “2014 Global MBA” rankings report placed the Merage School’s Full-Time MBA program at no. 25 in the nation, further supporting the school’s solid advancement.
