Quinlan Entrepreneurial Class Teams Up With BBox Chicago
A recent article on the Loyola University Chicago website discussed how an entrepreneurial marketing class at the Quinlan School of Business partnered with BBox, a new “restaurant” seeking to break into the Chicago dining scene, to help push the startup’s brand.
BBox isn’t your average restaurant, in fact, it’s not really a restaurant at all. Instead, a machine prepares and sells breakfast sandwiches that are ordered through a smartphone app. Each machine will track a customer’s location and prioritize orders according to how close they are, ensuring maximum freshness and ease of delivery. MBA SPOTLIGHT: Hussam Bachour from Loyola University Quinlan School of Business
Hussam Bachour was born in Syria but has made a home at Loyola University Quinlan School of Business while working toward earning a dual degree MBA/MS in supply chain management. He is also one of the recipients of Quinlan’s President’s Medallion — an award bestowed upon students who excel not only in the classroom, but also in the world, and are dedicated to helping those around them. Quinlan MBA Honored with Diversity MBA’s Graduate Student Leadership Award
Travis Cornejo, a student reporter at the Loyola University Chicago, has reported that Diversity MBA Magazine has named Quinlan School of Business MBA Marvin Mathelier the recipient of the publication’s Graduate Student Leadership Award.
A veteran of the War in Afghanistan, Mathelier became a recruiter in Chicago upon returning home. He says that it was during his time as a recruiter that he decided to pursue his master’s degree. He decided to apply for business school and found that Quinlan was the right fit for him. Continue reading…
