CEO Summit at Quinlan School Of Business Focuses on Corporate Responsibility

Nearly 100 corporate leaders from the Chicago Metro attended a CEO Summit at the Quinlan School of Business, an event that kicked off Quinlan’s Signature Series of events. The panel discussed the impact of corporate social responsibility on business, government and education, as well as the benefits to balancing shareholder and stakeholder interests.

General Colin L. Powell, USA (Ret.); Shaun Budnik, KPMG, LLP, partner; Robert L. Alumni Profile: Quinlan’s Nicole Vasquez, MBA ’11, Founder of The Shift in Chicago

Quinlan Opens John and Kathy Schreiber Center Up For Business in Chicago

We’ve been writing a lot about the John and Kathy Schreiber Center lately in this space. The Loyola community was finally able to official celebrate the opening of the new home of the Quinlan School of Business with a ribbon cutting and building blessing on August 27.

Quinlan is moving to the new 10-story building on the Water Tower campus named for the Schreibers, alumni John Schreiber and his wife Kathy, who promised $10 million to the school last year. According to Crain’s, the building will found at the corner of State Street and Pearson Avenue will house Loyola’s Family Business Center, Center for Risk Management and its Supply and Value Chain Center in addition to hosting undergraduate, graduate and executive-education business classes. Quinlan Announces Date for Schreiber Center Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

According to a press release, a ribbon cutting ceremony for the John and Kathy Schreiber Center, the new home of Loyola’s Quinlan School of Business, will be taking place next week. Hosted by John P. Pelissero, Interim President, Loyola University Chicago, and Kevin Stevens, Dean, Quinlan School of Business, the event will be taking place at 16 E. Lofty Fundraising Goals Come Into Sight for Quinlan School of Business

Loyola University Chicago has made it a point to make 2015 a huge year for fundraising. A Crain’s Chicago Business article points out that the school specifically placed a fundraising goal of $100 million for the Quinlan School of Business. As of March, the school had already managed to receive $70 million in pledges.

A large chunk of this change came from alumnus Michael Quinlan, former McDonald’s CEO, who committed $40 million in 2012, and alumnus John Schreiber and his wife Kathy, who promised $10 million last year. Continue reading…
