Smith School Releases Annual Summer Reading List
Each year, faculty and administrators from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business puts out a list of their favorite books in the ” Top-10 Summer Reading List for Business Leaders” for 2014.
This is the 11th year of reading recommendations from the Smith School, so if you’re heading off to business school as an MBA or you are already climbing up the corporate ladder, these books will keep you up-to-date on current trends. Smith School Sees Record Setting Number of Applicants

Smith Students Take Micro-Grid to Scale Abroad
A group of eight students from the Robert H. Smith School of Business (including three MBAs) participated in a one-week mission to Bangladesh with the World Bank. Brenda Freeman Speaks at Smith’s Women Leading Women Event
Brenda Freeman, ’87 and MBA ’91, headlined the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business’s third annual Women Leading Women event. DreamWorks Animation’s global head of television marketing discussed fitting into different corporate cultures, finding a good mentor and having a good work-life balance, among other things.

Smith Groups Host Bradford Awards Banquet
The Robert H. Smith School of Business’ Black MBA Association and Latin American MBA Student Association (LAMBASA) co-hosted the 21st Annual William D. Bradford Awards Banquet in the Samuel Riggs Alumni Center.
