Princeton Review Names Rohrer Among 295 Best Business Schools
The Princeton Review has named the Rohrer College of Business at Rowan University one of the best business schools. Rohrer was featured as one of the best schools for an MBA in the publication’s 2016 295 Best Business Schools. The featured list was released on Oct. 6, 2015 on the Princeton Review website as well as the publications 2016 edition of “295 Best Business Schools” book.
The 295 Best Business Schools book is not a hierarchical rankings of business schools, but rather a list of schools based on 11 categories. The scores given to the schools are based on student opinion and institutional data. The surveys cover what the Princeton Review thinks that prospective students would want to know about a school, including academics, future career prospects and the diversity of the student body.
Rowan Names New Senior Vice President for University Advancement
John Zabinski has been named the senior vice president for university advancement at Rowan University. Zabinski will also serve as the executive director of the Rowan University Foundation. As SVP, he will help Rowan University President Ali Houshmand, to reach the University’s goal of increasing enrollment by ten thousand students by 2023 and complete more than $500 million worth of construction to the Rowan campus over the next five years.
The Rowan University Advancement division works to secure philanthropic support and engage alumni, donors and other constituents to help to advance the mission of Rowan University. As Senior Vice President, Zabinski will help lead the division to oversee Development, Alumni Relations, Advancement Services and the Rowan University Foundation. As Executive Director of The Rowan University Foundation, Zabinski will oversee and coordinate all fundraising activities for the university. The Foundation is also responsible for the management and investment of all charitable contributions to benefit the University.
Rohrer Announces New Dean
The Rohrer College of Business at Rowan University has named Dr. Sue Lehrman as its new dean. Dr. Lehrman currently serves as the dean of the School of Business Administration at Philadelphia University. She will take over as the dean of Rohrer starting July 1, 2015. Dr. Lerhman has already made big plans for the College of Business, beginning with her “Two months, 200 stories” initiative.
The “Two Months, 200 stories” initiative is Dr. Lerhman’s plan to set up 200 meetings with faculty members, staff, student leaders, alumni and members of the business community within her first 60 days as dean of the business school. Her plan for working with those groups is to lead the development of a strategic plan for Rohrer College of Business.
Rohrer Scholarship Opportunities Available
There are several scholarship opportunities available for Rohrer College of Business students. These scholarships range from financial aid for CPA exams to Fulbright scholarships and are currently accepting applications for the Spring 2015 semester.
