RBS Ranked No. 1 in MBA Employment

Rutgers Business School‘s Traditional Full-Time MBA program has been ranked no. 1 in MBA employment in the Big Ten according to U.S. News & World Report. Rutgers was ranked no. 7 in the nation with more than 95 percent of full-time graduates employed three months after graduation.

Graduates benefit from Rutgers Business School’s strong relationships with New York and New Jersey companies and a strong economy in the New York metropolitan area, which has the highest GDP in the nation. New Leader of Marketing Dept. at Rutgers

Professor Ashwani Monga is the new leader of the marketing department at Rutgers Business School, Newark and New Brunswick. The marketing department has recently been separated from supply chain management after being combined five years earlier. Monga is leading the task of re-establishing the department.

At the University of South Carolina, Monga received several awards for his teaching, and his research on consumer behavior is widely recognized in the field of marketing. His work has appeared in leading academic publications, including the Journal of Consumer Research and the Journal of Consumer Psychology. He also sits on the editorial review board of several journals and serves as an associate editor at the Journal of Consumer Psychology.

Rutgers Alum Returns for SCM Meet & Greet

Rutgers Business School alumnus Valerie Linteau, who majored in Supply Chain Management, returned to Rutgers on September 17, 2014 for the Supply Chain Management Meet & Greet and look for more Rutgers talent. She returned as a career employee of Kuehne + Nagel to represent the company.

The event is cosponsored by the Department of Supply Chain Management & Marketing Sciences, and Career Services, Rutgers Business School-Newark and New Brunswick.

Rutgers Plans to Expand

Rutgers Business School Executive Education (RBSEE) at Newark and New Brunswick has plans to expand its program. The program will be expanding both the topics it will offer and geographic research.

In addition to offering programs in the areas of digital marketing, finance, healthcare, ethics and leadership, there are plans to launch new programs in data analytics, risk, compliance, engineering and technology.  The RBSEE has chosen a selection of these programs to be launched in Singapore for the very first time in the upcoming semesters. The global reach will also be accelerated by way of an expanded catalog of online program offerings.

Rutgers Prof’s Book Wins Award

Rutgers Business School professor Nancy DiTomaso’s book The American Non-Dilemma: Racial Inequality without Racism hasreceived the 2014 C. Wright Mills Award from the Society for the Study of Social Problems.

DiTomaso, who teaches organization management and is also vice dean for faculty and research at Rutgers, was among five finalists whose works were selected from more than 70 nominated books. The award was announced during the annual meeting of the Society for the Study of Social Problems on August 15, 2014 in San Francisco.

Rutgers Prof. Presented with Hall of Fame Award

Rutgers Business School professor Jerome Williams was presented with The PhD Project’s Marketing Doctoral Student Association Hall of Fame Award. The award is a prelude to an induction into The PhD Project’s Marketing Doctoral Student Association Hall of Fame.

Williams, is a distinguished professor of marketing and holds the endowed Prudential Chair in Business at Rutgers. He is also the research director for The Center of Urban Entrepreneurship and Economic Development at Rutgers Business School and serves as its PhD program director.
