Rutgers-Camden Holds MBA Info Sessions
Rutgers School of Business, Camden will be holding two upcoming information sessions for its MBA program. The first will take place Nov. 25, 2014 at The William G Rohrer Center at the Camden County College in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. This event will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The second information session will take place Dec. 4, 2014 at the Cherry Hill Public Library. This event will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The foundation of the MBA program at Rutgers University–Camden is a rigorous academic curriculum that provides every student with extensive knowledge in all disciplines of business. This program aims to prepare students for a successful career by providing a stimulating learning environment in a small-class setting. The program will help students to enhance their analytical thinking capabilities and develop a global and strategic view of a dynamic fast- changing world.
Rutgers-Camden Named Military Friendly School
Rutgers University–Camden has been named a Military Friendly School by Victory Media, publisher of G.I. Jobs magazine. Rutgers-Camden has received this honor for the fifth consecutive year. The honor recognizes the university as one of the elite post-secondary schools for student veterans in the nation.
The recognition is a credit to Rutgers–Camden’s Office of Veterans Affairs and its coordinated efforts with departments throughout the campus, says Fred Davis, director of the office.
Rutgers Offers CPA Review Program
The Rutgers School of Business–Camden is offering current students and recent graduates a CPA Review Program. The program will be offered on the Rutgers–Camden campus to assist students in preparing for the CPA Exam. This program is designed for students who wish to sit for the CPA exam within the next 12 months.
Four modules will be offered between September 2014 and April 2015. Students may enroll in ONE or more modules.
Smith MBA Students Come in Second at Rutgers-Camden Case Competition
A team of MBAs representing the Smith School of Business finished runner-up in Rutgers-Camden Business Schools MBA Invitational Case Tournament. The University of Western Ontario won the competition while other participating schools include the University of South Carolina, the University of Western Ontario, and the Smith School, which has participated most often in the history of the tournament. Alumnus Appointed Chair of Rutgers-Camden Board of Trustees
Sandy Stewart, a Rutgers University-Camden graduate, (CCAS ’81, GSC ‘87) was appointed chair of the university’s Board of Trustees on July 1, 2014.
The Rutgers–Camden alumnus was first appointed to the Board of Trustees in 2006. As chair, Stewart will serve on several committees as an ex officio member, including the Board of Trustees Joint Investments Committee, the Governance Improvement Task Force, the Rutgers University–Camden Alumni Association Board, and the Advisory Board of the Camden Small Business Incubator.
