Rutgers Names Business School Professor as Provost
Rutgers University- Newark has selected Rutgers Business School Professor Jerome Williams as the next provost of University in Newark. Williams will begin his new position on Sept. 1, 2015. Williams has been with the Rutgers Business School since 2010. He has served as the Prudential Chair in Business, director of the PhD program and has also overseen research at The Center for Urban Entrepreneurship and Economic Development.
As provost, Williams will represent Rutgers-Newark on the Rutgers system Promotion Review Committee. He will also work with university leaders to solidify support of a wide range of scholarly pursuits and collaborations. Williams will also help to build a high impact research program for Rutgers-Newark and to help the school to work with other Rutgers-Newark leadership team members to grow institutional partnerships and initiatives.
Rutgers Holds MBA Open House
The Rutgers Business School, Newark-New Brunswick will be holding an upcoming MBA Graduate Admissions Open House event. The Open House will be held March 21 from 10:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will be held at the Livingston campus. Those interested in attending the event can complete an RSVP form online.
During the event, prospective students will have the opportunity to meet with faculty, staff and students to learn about Rutgers Business School’s MBA and Graduate programs. Program representatives will also be available to discuss your personal situation and questions regarding pursuing a degree at Rutgers.
Rutgers Hosts Grad. Admissions Info Session
The Rutgers Business School- Newark, New Brunswick will be hosting a Graduate Admission Information Session at its Newark campus. The information session will be held Feb. 2 at 6 p.m. Prospective students will have the opportunity to meet with a member of the RBS admissions staff and have any questions about the programs offered and the admissions process.
Rutgers offers a traditional MBA as well as a flex MBA program. The traditional MBA program at RBS is a 60 credit two-year program. Students complete core and foundational courses to establish the fundamental knowledge in business management needed to be a successful leader. Students can choose a concentration to customize their MBA learning experience. Concentration options include, analytics and information management, entrepreneurship, global business, marketing research insights and supply chain management. Students can also apply for a customize MBA concentration. Customized concentrations are awarded on a case-by-case basis.
Rutgers Names Chair in Entrepreneurship
Professor Ted Baker has been selected to fill the new George F. Farris Chair in Entrepreneurship at Rutgers Business School, Newark and New Brunswick. The Rutgers University Board of Governors approved the creation of the endowed chair and the appointment of Professor Baker as the first holder of the chair.
Baker was the founding executive director of The Entrepreneurship Collaborative at North Carolina State University’s Poole College of Management in Raleigh, North Carolina. The collaborative, known as TEC, is a center of research, education as well as a service provider to the entrepreneurship community.
