SFSU Holds Sustainable Biz Concentration Open House
The San Francisco State University College of Business will be holding an open house for prospective students. This open house is for the MBA program Concentration in Sustainable Business. The event will be held Jan. 27 at the San Francisco State Downtown Campus. The program will begin at 5 p.m. and last for one hour.
The MBA concentration in sustainable business aims to provide students with an in-depth appreciation of the environmental and social dimensions of conducting business in the global market. Students who pursue the concentration in sustainable business will focus on the three aspects of sustainable business that improve a firm’s long-term performance.
SFSU Holds EMBA Information Session
San Francisco State University College of Business will be holding an information session for its Executive MBA program. The event will be held Jan. 13, 2015. It will be held at the San Francisco State University downtown campus.
The Executive MBA program is a 22-month, part-time program. Classes for the program are held on the weekend twice a month. The program is taught in a cohort structure. The Executive MBA program is AACSB International accredited.
SFSU Holds MBA Open House
The San Francisco State University College of Business will be holding an MBA Open House. The event will be held Jan. 8, 2015. It will be held at the San Francisco State Downtown Campus from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The open house will cover the MBA, Master of Science in Accountancy and Executive MBA programs at San Francisco State University. The MBA program offers full-time or part-time options for students to pursue their general MBA degree. Students also have the option of completing a concentration in sustainable business, or choose an area of emphasis, including ethics and compliance and hospitality and tourism management.
SFSU Holds Information Events
The College of Business at San Francisco State University will be holding a few upcoming information events. These events will be for the Executive MBA, MBA and MS in Accountancy programs. All events are free to attend for prospective students.
The first event offered is an information session for the Executive MBA program. This event will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2014 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. This information session will be held at the San Francisco State Downtown Campus. During the event, prospective students can speak with an adviser to individual admissions questions and learn tips about the application process and admissions guidelines.
SF State to Hold Business Ethics Week
The San Francisco State University College of Business and the Center for Ethical and Sustainable Business will be hosting Business Ethics Week. The event will be held Nov. 3-7, 2014. Events will be held at both San Francisco State University’s main campus and its downtown campus.
Business Ethics Week is held each November and involves over 5,500 undergraduate and graduate business students and faculty as they hear from business and industry experts on topics related to business ethics and best practices, corporate social responsibility, the environment and sustainable business strategies. Faculty host a specific topic, case study, speaker, film or other activity directly related to business ethics and best practices in each class section during that week.
SFSU Prof to Speak at Buddhist Fellowship Event
San Francisco State University College of Business Professor Ron Purser has been invited to lead a workshop titled “Secular Mindfulness: Benefits, Concerns, and an Engaged Buddhist Path Forward” at the International Buddhist Peace Fellowship Gathering. The gathering will be held August 29 through August 31, 2014 in Oakland, California at the East Bay Meditation Center.
The Buddhist Peace Fellowship was founded in 1978 with the mission to serve as a catalyst for socially engaged Buddhism. The Buddhist Peace Fellowship’s programs, publications, and practice groups link Buddhist teachings of wisdom and compassion with progressive social change.
