UC Davis Creates Aggie Pride Fellowship

Students who attended UC Davis and are interested in pursuing an MBA education at the same school may now apply for a new scholarship that will help fund their degree by sharing how they would promote “Aggie pride,” according to a press release from the school. The “Aggie Pride Alumni Fellowship” is open to applicants to UC Davis Graduate School of Management’s part-time MBA programs who completed their undergraduate degree at UC Davis. The programs are offered in Sacramento and San Ramon. Students who are awarded the fellowship will receive up to $3,000. Continue reading…

One Day Immersion Conference at Lubin Offers Media Scholarships

The Lubin School of Business has announced that the One Day Immersion in Tv, Cable and Digital Entertainment will offer media scholarships to students who participate in the conference. The Lubin School of Business is among 120 colleges and universities across the United States that participate in the conference. The conference, produced by  Dolly Wolf Enterprises, LLC, was created to give the next generation of industry leaders the opportunity to learn from industry executives and develop strategic relationships for the future.

The conference is held in both New York City and in Denver. This year’s conference will feature student ambassadors from the Lubin School. The 2015 conference in New York City will be held on Oct. 23, at The Michael Schimmel Center for the The Arts at Pace University. The event is free for all who want to attend. Those who cannot be at the conference in person are also welcome to join the conference online during a live streaming of the events.

Saïd Awards Three MBA Scholarships to Latin American Students

Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford awarded three scholarships to attend a Saïd MBA program to three students from Latin America, according to a press release from the school. Alexandre Carneiro of Brazil was given the “Dean’s Scholarship for Nationals from Latin America,” funded by Saïd dean Peter Tufano and his wife Mary Jeanne Tufano. Ana Maria Moreno of Ecuador and William Ou of Brazil were each awarded the Saïd Foundation Scholarship for Latin Americans. Continue reading…

London Business School Enjoys Large Donations from Middle East

London Business School’s global scholarship program recently enjoyed donations totalling £600,000 from their alumni community and regional business leaders in the Middle East, according to a press release from the school. The donations, which included four six-figure gifts, were raised as part of a fundraising campaign aiming to reach £100 million. The donations will largely be used to support the school’s scholarship programs as well as finance the school’s research program. Continue reading…

Leavey Professor’s Influence Leads to Establishment of Endowed Chair

Leavey School of Business benefited from the creation of the Gerry and Bonita Wilkinson Endowed Chair, which helps support the holding professor beyond the capacities of their normal salary. The chair would not have been created if not for the expert teaching of W.M. Lake Forest Graduate School of Management 12th Annual Golf Classic Raises Funds For MBAs

Lake Forest Graduate School of Management held its 12th annual Golf Classic with the support of corporate partners and alumni from the Chicago metro area. The event helped raise funds to support LFGSM’s General Scholarship Fund, which provides financial support to MBA students.

Early rain and delays didn’t stop the event from being a success at the Royal Melbourne Golf Club in Long Grove. Prizes were awarded for various golf and putting challenges, team awards, and individual raffle prizes. Continue reading…
