Saïd and Global Shapers Award Two Scholarships

Two members of the Global Shapers Community have been selected to receive scholarships to attend Saïd Business School in order to pursue MBA degrees, according to a press release from the school. The Global Shapers Community, a World Economic Forum initiative, consists of a network of hubs developed and led by young people who are exceptional in their achievements, potential and their drive to make a contribution to their community. Henley Offers Scholarship to Women

Henley Business School has launched a scholarship with the collaboration of the 30% Club and the Financial Times aimed at offering women a fully-funded Henley MBA education, according to a recent press release. The scholarship is designed to give practical support to women interested in entering the business world, allowing students to complete their degrees on either a full time, executive or flex-executive schedule, allowing for women to continue working while they complete their degree. The scholarship should also help the 30% Club’s goal of seeing more women at every level of businesses and their boards. Continue reading…

Making the decision to return to school for an MBA is a big decision. Deciding how to finance your advanced degree is an even bigger decision. DePaul Student Innovation Awards Celebrates Fresh Business Ideas

DePaul students were celebrated for their achievements in innovation at the fifth annual Student Innovation Awards on Feb. 12, at TechNexus, one of Chicago’s premier collaborative working spaces and innovation hubs. $7,500 in scholarship money was awarded to students whose innovative ideas have aided in inventing or improving a new product, service, process or technology.

“We created the Student Innovation Awards because students were generating so many amazing ideas,” Lisa Gundry, director of the Center of Creativity and Innovation, said in a press release on the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business website. “We wanted to encourage students by supporting them through scholarships. The act of articulating an idea to develop and implement takes a lot of creativity and persistence—and it’s important to recognize their efforts in support of innovation.” Continue reading…

GMU MBA Wins Scholarship, Gets Invited to Mindshare Network

Chris Plourde, George Mason School of Management MBA, was recently awarded the newly established Pete Bianco Scholarship. The scholarship allows for one MBA to participate in MindShare, an exclusive, invitation-only program comprised of CEOs of Washington, D.C. area companies.

As a MindShare participant, Plourde  will gain access to the 700 entrepreneurs in the Washington, D.C. area who are alumni of and currently comprise the MindShare network. He will have the opportunity to network with and learn from senior business leaders and gain advice from seasoned CEOs on how to overcome various entrepreneurial challenges. Continue reading…
