Leavey Holds MBA Information Session
The Leavey School of Business will be holding an information session for its MBA program. The event will be held March 12 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event will be held at the Santa Clara University campus. The event is open to all prospective students. The event is free for all to attend. The evening MBA program at the Leavey School of Business has a newly revised curriculum and program structure. This new curriculum gives students coursework that integrates with other courses across disciplines. Developed in consultation with Silicon Valley executives, the new concentrations (now a required component of the Evening MBA) are focused with specific career paths in mind.

Leavey Students Share First Quarter Experience
Three Leavey School of Business students shared their experiences over the first quarter at the business school with the Leavey Business Blog. All three of these students are recipients of the Santa Clara University’s Johnson Scholarship. The Johnson Scholarship awards full, renewable academic scholarships to up to 10 of SCU’s most academically accomplished, leadership-minded applicants.
Amy Lutfi shared how comfortable she became at the school and around the other students and staff. She also comments on the benefits she has received already from her education.

Leavey Offers Free GMAT Practice Test
The Leavey School of Business is offering a GMAT/GRE practice exam. The practice exam will be held Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Santa Clara University. The Leavey School of Business has partnered with Kaplan to sponsor the practice exam.
Each participant will receive a free practice test including all multiple-choice sections under real life proctored conditions, a detailed score report highlighting your strengths and weaknesses, a complete explanation of every question, strategies for improvement and exclusive discounts on Kaplan courses.
Leavey Creates New Council of Grad. Students in Biz
The Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University has created a new Council of Graduate Students in Business (CGSB). This council is made up of student representatives from all graduate programs. These representatives will work with faculty and staff in order to provide graduate students with an outstanding experience.
The council will meet monthly in order to address and discuss areas such as communication, community building, career support, teaching, and technology. Current students are encouraged to contact the council (cgsb@scu.edu) or any representative with questions, concerns, ideas or kudos.
