Seattle Pacific University Donates Thousands of Pounds of Food
Instead of throwing out nearly 100,000 pounds of uneaten food each year, Seattle Pacific University’s food recovery program gives back to those in need. The SPU program is certified by a national organization called the Food Recovery Network that provides protocols for how to store and deliver the food. Seattle Pacific University Brings 300 Shoes to Underprivileged Indians
Seattle Pacific University students brought more than 300 shoes to Delhi, India to help those in need. The students were heading to India in December and decided to do what they could to help. According to the Times of India, “Each one [Seattle Pacific University student] decided to drop their extra clothes and carry the shoes instead. Together, we could manage to bring 300 shoes to Delhi, from where they were transported to Lucknow,” said Anam Zaidi, a psychologist who started a fundraising campaign to buy growing shoes for slum kids. Seattle Pacific University Ranked 2nd Best Value College in the West
Seattle Pacific University (SPU) was recently ranked #2 for “Best Colleges — Best Value” in the west by U.S. News & World Report’s 2016 college rankings. The ranking looked at SPU’s academic quality as well as its net cost of attendance for a student in the 2014-15 school year. The higher the quality of the program and the lower the cost, the better the value, according to the study. Continue reading…
Spring MBA Application Deadline for Seattle Pacific University on Feb 1
The application deadline for Seattle Pacific University’s MBA program for the Spring Quarter is coming up on February 1st. Applicants looking to get their MBA from SPU have four opportunities each year. All recommendation letters, transcripts, and test scores must arrive before a decision can be made.
- Start Autumn/September: Application due August 1
- Start Winter/January: Application due November 1
- Start Spring/March: Application due February 1
- Start Summer/June: Application due May 1
