Loyola Marymount Hosts Program for Yonsei MBAs
Loyola Marymount University’s Center for Asian Business recently hosted a training program for students from Yonsei University in South Korea, according to a press release from the school. The students, all of whom are working on their MBAs, attended the weeklong program to learn more about the theme of “Innovation in the Entertainment Industry.” The program consisted of lectures at LMU as well as corporate visits to local entertainment companies Machinima, YouTube, and Sony Entertainment Pictures. George Washington University School of Business Welcomes Ki-Chan Kim to the Dept of Management
The George Washington University School of Business is pleased to welcome Dr. Ki-Chan Kim, a Professor of Business Administration at The Catholic University of Korea, to the GW’s Department of Management.
Kim brings his impressive resume to the School of Business. He received a PhD from Seoul National University and has researched at the University of Tokyo. Additionally, he researched at MIT as a visiting scholar. His research interests are modularization with IT, inter-firm relationship at the automotive industry, and supply chain management. Haas MBAs Work With Fellows to Drive Innovation
Three MBA candidates at the Haas School of Business were recently given the opportunity to work with Gunso Kim, secretary general of the World eGovernment Organization of Cities and Local Governments, to try and develop a ride-sharing app like Uber or Lyft that would function in Seoul, South Korea. The project was highlighted in a recent press release from Haas looking at the fellows appointed by the Garwood Center for Corporate Innovation, of whom Kim is one. The Garwood Center promotes the open innovation idea that organizations should look both internally and externally to optimize innovation.
