Stanford Launches Go To Market Program in Mexico City
Stanford University Graduate School of Business will launch its first “Go to Market” program in Mexico City, in October. The “Go to Market” program is a six-day certificate program that teaches participants practical business skills to refine their business models to execute and pitch their ideas. The program was created for both entrepreneurs, who are starting a new venture, and intraprenuers, who are leading a project in a larger organization and will be taught by Stanford GSB MBA faculty.
Leading Mexican executives, entrepreneurs, and investors will also act as guest speakers and panelists and provide practical feedback on business plans. Stanford will be working with Cisco Mexico, which will host the program at their facility in Bosques de Las Lomas in México City. Stanford faculty will deliver courses through a combination of in-person class sessions in México City and distance-learning technology from Stanford.
Tom Steyer to Deliver Stanford GSB Graduation Address
Tom Steyer, investor, philanthropist, advanced energy advocate and Stanford Graduate School of Business alumnus, has been selected to deliver the 2015 graduation address on June 13. Steyer will speak at the graduation ceremony as part of Stanford GSB’s alumni speaker program. The program was inaugurated in 2010 as a means to inspire graduates in their future careers.
In addition to being involved in the creation of the joint business and law school Steyer-Taylor Center for Energy Policy and Finance, which examines issues of funding and public policy surrounding alternative energy, Steyer has been a member of the Stanford Board of Trustees since 2007 and served as a member of the Stanford GSB Advisory Council from 2003-08.
Stanford Holds MBA Information Session
The next information session for the MBA program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business will be held March 16 at 10:45 a.m. at the Knight Management Center. The information session will last for 90 minutes. During the event, prospective students will have the chance to learn more about the Stanford MBA, the admissions process and meet Admissions Office representatives to ask any questions about any aspects of the program. Those interested in attending the information session event can complete an online registration form.

Final App Deadline for Stanford MBA April 1
The final application deadline for the MBA program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business is April 1. Those who submit their application and the required supporting documents by the April 1 deadline will receive an admissions decision by May 6. The admissions decision will be posted to your online application account by 5 p.m. Pacific Time. Those who are accepted to the MBA program at Stanford must give a reply to the acceptance offer and pay the tuition deposit by May 28.
In order to complete an application for the MBA program at Stanford, prospective students must submit a completed online application form as well as official copies of transcripts from any graduate and graduate courses, official GMAT or GRE scores, a copy of your current professional résumé and three letters of recommendation, including two professional /workplaces references and one personal. The school also requires applicants to submit two personal essays and one short-answer essay. Applicants must also submit a $275 application fee.

Students also have the opportunity to take a series of two-week compressed courses to build deep knowledge in specific business topics.
Stanford Ignite Apps Now Open
Applications for the Stanford Graduate School of Business‘s Stanford Ignite Innovation Program in Innovation and Entrepreneurship in China are now open. This is the second time that the program will be offered in China. The Stanford Ignite program is aimed at nonbusiness technical professionals such as engineers, scientists, and graduate students, who want to bring entrepreneurial thinking to their current role, and for those who planning to start a new venture.
The program was launched last year with 30 participants that were selected from disciplines ranging from telecommunications to education and medicine. The program teaches students with leadership potential to formulate, evaluate, develop and commercialize their ideas into business plans.
Stanford Holds MBA Information Session
The next open MBA information session at Stanford University Graduate School of Business is Feb. 20. The information session will be held from 10:45 to 12:10 p.m. at the Knight Management Center. During the information session, an admissions representative will discuss the features of the MBA program and the admissions process. Attendants will also have the opportunity to attend a class visit following the information session.
