Rotman Team Wins Regional A.T. Kearney Global Prize Competition

GMAT Bootcamp from the Schulich School of Business

The Schulich GMAT Bootcamp is a 30-hour intensive study course that will get you ready to ace the test and get into the Schulich MBA program. Taught by Quantum Test Prep, your instructor is an expert in GMAT study and workshops. All Quantum Test Prep instructors are MBA and MEd graduates who received a top 3 percentile score on the GMAT exam.
As a participant, you will delve deep into the four different sections of the GMAT: Mathematical, Verbal, Integrated Reasoning and Analytical Writing. The Bootcamp focuses on developing and practicing efficient test processes and tackling the major question types within each section. And by the end of the Bootcamp, you should have the skills necessary to successfully complete the GMAT and receive the score you need to enter the Schulich School of Business MBA program.
The Schulich School also knows that studying for the GMAT can be difficult with a busy work schedule. That’s why the Bootcamp is held in the evenings and over the weekend. The dates and times are as follows according to the Schulich Blog:

Wilfred Laurier Holds MBA Open House
Wilfred Laurier University will hold an open house event for its MBA programs on Oct. 24. The event will be held at the Toronto campus. Program options offered at the Toronto campus include Part-Time Evenings MBA, Alternate Weekend MBA, Part-Time MBA/Master of Finance, Accelerated MBA and Accelerated MBA for CMAs programs. All programs offered at this campus are held in a part-time schedule. The open house will be held from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm. The event is free for all interested prospective students. Those interested in attending can complete a pre-registration form online.
During the open house, prospective students will have the opportunity to attend an an MBA alumni panel discussion and a MBA class lecture, complete a personal one-on-one appointment with an advisor, meet with MBA program leaders, learn more about the specialization options for the MBA programs at Laurier and complete the application process in person.
Ryerson University Is Leading the Way Helping Syrian Refugees
Many Canadian universities are ramping up efforts to help Syrian refugees find a haven. In a recent article, according to Paul Davidson the president of Universities Canada, “Universities feel a sense of solidarity with those who are under siege and the tens of thousands who are in camps and will be left there to rot without options unless people extend a hand.” The recent help offered by the Canadian universities is just the latest in a long history of universities offering help to refugees.
Ryerson University is leading the way in sponsoring Syrian refugees. In July, Ryerson University in Toronto partnered with Lifeline Syria to help resettle 1,000 Syrian refugees throughout Toronto. Ratna Omidvar, the executive director of Global Diversity Exchange at the Ted Rogers School of Management, is also the chair of Lifeline Syria. Continue reading…
