Kogod Study Away Course Teaches International Management Practices in Cuba This Fall Semester
Now that decades-long travel ban to Cuba has been lifted, the Kogod School of Business is happy to launch a course on International Management Practices in Havana, Cuba this fall. IBUS 244 provides students the opportunity to experience the management practices and business environments of Cuban organizations. Quinlan Hosts 40th Annual Macromarketing Conference
Loyola’s Quinlan School of Business hosted the 40th annual Macromarketing Conference in June — an event that brought together nearly 200 scholars from around the globe to analyze how marketing affects economies and societies.

Smith Alum to Run For President
Move over Hillary—Former HP CEO Carly Fiorina has announced her bid to become the first woman president of the United States. Fiorina also happens to be an MBA graduate (class of ‘80) of the Robert H. Smith School of Business.
As an alum, Fiorina has remained active in the Smith community. According to a press release on the Smith website, she donated $100,000 to the Smith School’s Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship in 2007 and has remained engaged at the university. Continue reading…
World Renowned Chef Talks Business With McDonough MBAs
Chef Jose Andres, known for his restaurants in the DC metro and around the world, recently encouraged a group of more than 30 full-time MBA students from the McDonough School of Business to find what makes them unique and what inspires them.

Twitter to Join Other Major Tech Brands in Ponce City Market
It’s a huge boon to MBA students when major companies open offices near campus. For schools in the Atlanta metro area this is one of their biggest strengths. Atlanta is already home to a litany of major corporations and more even more start-ups. What more could you ask for? How about Twitter increasing their presence in the area by almost 500 percent?
According to a recent article by Urvash Karkaria in the Atlanta Business Chronicle, Twitter will lease around 8,000 square feet in the new Ponce City Market. With this move Twitter is expected to grow it’s sales and marketing team to about 70 people from their current 15. Continue reading…
