Smith MBAs Consult Projects in the Middle East
Three Smith School of Business MBA students, Patrick Gallice, Carlos Cedeno, and Hirokazu Masuoka, were selected to join a consulting team that traveled to the Middle East over Spring Break, 2015. They studied the feasibility of using greywater for small-scale crop production, assisted in finding solutions to water scarcity in the region, and worked to solve a complex environmental problem that implicates legal, public health, and economic issues.

On March 23, Andrea Brody, senior vice president of global marketing at BravoSolution, spoke to business women of all backgrounds at the Robert H. Smith School of Business’ fourth Women Leading Women conference. The event, moderated by Vice Dean Joyce E. A. Russell and presented by Smith’s Office of Alumni Relations, celebrated inspirational female trailblazers in the business world. Kevin Plank, Under Armour’s founder and CEO, will partner with his alma mater, The University of Maryland’s Robert H. US News and World Report Ranks Smith in Top 20 Public MBAs of 2015
U.S. News and World Report’s 2016 Best Graduate Programs ranks The Robert H. Smith School of Business as No. 41 among 464 accredited full-time MBA programs surveyed and No. 20 among public schools. The ranking were released on March 10, 2015.
In addition, Smith School’s part-time MBA program is ranked No. 26 overall and No.16 among public schools, according to a Press Release on the business school’s website. Continue reading…
Smith School’s Annual Monte Carlo Night a Success
The one night members of the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business family know they can’t miss is always the school’s annual Monte Carlo Night Gala. The 13th annual celebration brought together nearly 700 full-time MBA, part-time MBA, EMBA, and MS students; alumni; faculty; and staff for an evening of dancing and casino gaming on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015, at the Andrew W.
